Ruth at a Corporate Responisbility meeting


Corporate Social Responsibility


Health Education England

In 2015 and 2016 Ruth worked with the policy team at Health Education England on issues of workforce planning with a particular focus on nursing and caring. This included:

  • extensive stakeholder engagement on nursing and caring workforce policy and strategy
  • devising, implementing and analysising a national consultation with nearly 1,500 respondents
  • supporting the planning and introduction of the new role at national level
  • in depth analysis of the introduction of new roles in healthcare
  • developing and managing a grant application procedure to ensure a first intake of 1,000 trainees at selected partnership test sites across England
  • providing training on systems thinking in healthcare

Bradford College

Recent strategy experience includes the development of the Bradford College Strategy 2015-2020 : research, environmental analysis, internal and external consultation, training for staff, key performance indicators, design and dissemination.

Ruth was also involved in the development of multiple College sub-strategies. She assisted the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine and other organisations with marketing and communications strategies.

Corporate Social Responsibility

In 2013 and 2014, Ruth Wilson conducted a review of corporate social responsibility at Bradford College, looking at:

  • Corporate governance and leadership
  • Access and equality
  • The Student Experience
  • Learning, teaching, assessment and research
  • Health, well-being, safety and security
  • Environment
  • Community and Employer Engagement
  • Business and employment practice

This led to the commissioning of a photo exhibition that toured the College campus, and a number of other initiatives.
