The Volunteering and Asylum Project

Volunteering, asylum and EDUCATION seminar
The education seminar on 26 January had more than 60 participants. It was an opportunity to discuss the involvement of refugees and asylum seekers in all sorts of educational settings - voluntary and public sector, including pre-school, primary, secondary and adult education.

Comments from participants

"It was very useful meeting and hearing so many different and interesting people and all the information gained and stimulation for new and exiting ideas."

"The speakers were very informative. I have done very little work with refugees and so the whole day was useful to me."

"I gained a better understanding about issues involving volunteers in schools."
